What is an Art-o-mat?
Art-o-mat machines are retired cigarette vending machines that have been converted to vend art. There are 82 active machines in various locations throughout the country.
What a great concept - there is one machine in Michigan that is being hosted by an individual who will change the location from time to time: Took Gallagher. right now the machine is in The Dancing Eye Gallery in Northville. and for you, there is a machine in Northhamton at Faces - there are also two in Rhode Island, look up the locations on Artomat.
I'll try to make it to the gallery here in the next couple weeks............
