Hey Kelly, Check out this blog: http://mleeprints.blogspot.com/ It is by an artist in Boston, who creates woodcut prints--really great work. Her prints look very layered, which I would think would be a difficult process with woodcutting.

it is also very cool to see works in progress - because, like you said all the carving is very difficult process - but really fun - you should take a printmaking class -
